Don't Ask Us
In a musical sense Don't Ask Us are made up of various influences. What began as a fairly light-hearted pop-punk sound evolved into to a matured epic rock sound, taking cues from a number of artists such as The Killers, The Cars and Pink Floyd. However they never lost their pop-sensibility, and the fun was never taken out of the equation. As a debut, Wonder Boy Goes to Cloud Nine is an exciting and diverse record. The name itself indicates that these boys don't take themselves to seriously while the record explores epic and fantasy landscapes in a semi-conceptual format. From the simplicity of New Model Army to the grand finale in Planning An Ending or the unforgettable hook in the chorus of This Breath Wonder Boy reflects the creative abilities of a young and inspired band.
